CHRIS LINNETT

Chris Linnett is originally from Los Angeles. He studied photography and other arts at Pomona College in California.

He started his career by establishing a design agency in Los Angeles where he focused on communication-design and graphic-design projects.

He later received his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology at the University of California at Berkeley. His published research in visual perception has enabled him to integrate science into his creative process.

He took this combined art and science experience into the fledgling world of personal computers where he joined Microsoft in the early 90s. There he worked on software products that would inspire consumers. For more than 25 years he led product and design organizations at well-known companies including: Spotify, Nokia, Typeform, and Deliveroo. He is now an design advisor, speaker, and lecturer.

Throughout these years, photography has been an active artistic expression, and in 2020 he refocused significant creative energy into photographic projects.

He has captured and printed photographs across a variety of processes, and been selected for shows in the UK - as part of this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the US, and Switzerland.

He currently lives in London.
